Oil Sand Interceptor
Oil Sand Interceptor (OSI) is a key unit specifically designed to pretreat oily wastewater by intercepting and collecting rust, gravel, oil slick, grease (hydrocarbons and other petroleum products) and preventing them from entering subsequent water treatment units such as oil-water separators, medium filters, and circulating cleaning tanks. The OSI device can be used to treat the sewage of car washing house, the oil-bearing sewage of mechanical cleaning oil tank and other application fields.

Oil Sand Interceptor (OSI)
The Oil Sand Interceptor (OSI) is a key equipment specifically designed to pre-treat oily effluents to intercept and collect rust, gravel, oil slicks, greases (hydrocarbons and other petroleum products) and prevent them from entering subsequent water treatment units such as oil-water separators, media filters, and circulating cleaning tanks.
Receiving gravity flow through a larger volume of the cavity makes the dirty oil water have a long residence time, and due to their specific gravity difference, sedimentable objects such as sediment, oil slick, grease are separated from the water.
This OSI contains one to three compartments that separate the oil and float to the surface, while the settleable sand and coarse sand sink to the bottom of the compartment. The cleaner water flows underneath to the downpipe outlet, i.e. discharged from the static part of the separator.
The OSI device can be used to treat sewage from car washes, oily sewage from mechanical cleaning tanks, and other applications. We offer OSI products with a wide range of processing capabilities with a complete accessory package including level sensors, alarm/control panels, intake, effluent and oil pump systems. Variations in capacity, layout, size and line penetration location can meet your specific requirements.
